Mr Crosby was making a movie and came in alone for dinner a few times. I parked his 600 Mercedes! I had never seen such a car!. Not long after he came in driving a 1955 Cadillac Fleetwood and again I parked it.

After dinner (he was alone) he came out and saw me studying a book on a car fender. He asked me where I was going to school and said he get the car and gave me a tip! I looked at the tip and saw it was a $10 bill. A lot of money in 1955. I said, Oh, Mr. Crosby, that's a 10! He turned and said, you need it!

What a wonderful gesture for a freshman in College~! That's the kind of man Bing Crosby was! No one there to see it!

I learned a lot more about Mr. Crosby in the many years that have passed and I believe one of the reason he was so successful was because he was a genuine honest human being who cared about others! subdaddyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06852168232011542317noreply@blogger.com
