The soundtrack listing has some great songs, and from your description, this sounds like a light, entertaining movie, so I will definitely need to check it out at some point.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7969706531075939050.post-1293553380521768452011-05-18T05:19:03.874-07:002011-05-18T05:19:03.874-07:00Luckily Bing's rarer movies at Paramount have ...Luckily Bing's rarer movies at Paramount have been coming out slowly. How come I have not seen it either? The movie I chose to write about has had a similar fate -- it is so rarely shown that even most classic movie lovers haven't seen it! The songs this movie incorporates are wonderful, and I would like to hear Bing's version of "I Wonder Who's Kissing Her Now?" This film also appeals to me because I just love Ned Sparks and Laura Hope Crews, two of my favorite character actors.

My gosh, Louise Campbell DOES look like Mary Martin's twin! When I was a kid we loved Broadway soundtracks, and pictures of Mary Martin in Sound of Music and South Pacific are well-known to me. What a resemblance!

Loved your article!ClassicBeckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03591715859057540467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7969706531075939050.post-62340458071419857122011-05-17T13:06:27.025-07:002011-05-17T13:06:27.025-07:00I think it's a good thing that most of the rea...I think it's a good thing that most of the readers haven't seen this film. I really like Bing's 1930s movies, he's always so relaxed and natural - and, of course, the Voice! thanks for your excellent post.grandoldmovieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10773085288675763855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7969706531075939050.post-5013301136214951892011-05-16T07:13:57.039-07:002011-05-16T07:13:57.039-07:00"The Starmaker" and I have yet to cross ..."The Starmaker" and I have yet to cross paths.
